Updates from Monterey

We had a great Halloween.  This wasn't Nic's costume, he decided he wanted to dress up like Evelyn and do some ballet for us.  (Deep down I think he really wanted to be a ballerina for Halloween, but his daddy strongly objected.)

This is Nic's daddy approved Halloween costume.  Our little Cowboy.

Evelyn was Little Bunny Foo Foo.

Elena was a Drum Major and we were the old standbys: a cute cowgirl and a humble fighter pilot...

Emily finished her first marathon on Nov. 8, 2009 with a Boston Qualifying time of 3:38.18.  She is a superwoman and we love her as our mommy (this is the only part Julio wrote because he took over my computer for a minute).

For Veterarn's Day we took a day trip to San Francisco.  We got a good look at the Giant Red Bridge(as the kids call it) and the Giant Redwood Trees of Muir Woods.  We were able to cross the Giant Red Bridge and tour the Redwoods for free in honor of the Veterarns. (Our Julio)

After walking through the forest Nic said,"thank you daddy for taking us on a walk to see the big trees."

Thanks to our Father in Heaven for his beautiful creations and our many blessings.

Pictures for the Family and Friends to Enjoy

We wanted to upload a few pictures for the family and friends...as this is new territory, hopefully we can fill you in on each one.

Our Pleasant View house just prior to leaving, notice Julio still has glasses on.

On the way to California, Emily stopped with the kiddos while traveling across the moon (Salt Flats).  Evelyn wanted to take a rock with her.
On the way we stopped at Travis AFB while Julio recovered from getting PRK.  While we waited we went for a drive through Napa Valley and took the kids to see the Jelly Belly Factory.
We made it to Pebble Beach, this is the Lone Cypress growing off a random rock in the sea...the Pebble Beach logo.  The following pictures are by the beach and down the coast between Big Sur and Carmel.  We did stop to watch the sunset and clap once complete.

Where is the Rodriguez Family?

The Rodriguez family has moved once again. As of the end of Sept '09 we have settled on the Monterey Peninsula, Pebble Beach, CA. We were extremely sad to leave our wonderful home, family, and neighbors in Pleasant View, but we now live with an ocean view in a beautiful part of the world. We have also figured that we had better start blogging to keep everyone up to date, so this is new. Stand by for photos and more info regarding each of the children.
